Update your plug-ins!

New Flash Player 6,0,79,0
Just in case you haven’t read it everywhere else: Macromedia just released version 6,0,79,0 of the Flash Player. It contains once again some security patches for the infamous “buffer overflow exploit”, improves Flash Communication Server preformance and fixes some other minor bugs…

figured we might stick this up for a few days so people can see it.

:-\ When I download the update, it says 9.8 Mb. Isn’t that a lot? Or am I just getting crazy?

theres a couple more things in the download then just the player for normal viewing

You must’ve downloaded the whole package, which is better coz it also updates the standalone Flash Player AND the plug-in.

I keep all of those; sometimes it’s good to have 'em, when for example you put some Flash on a cd and don’t know if the user has it installed.
Happened to me with my portfolio, and my future not-employer had to connect the laptop to the internet, try to download the setup (didn’t work because of a weird version of Win NT where an update was missing…) and it all sucked, so now I just put it on every cd-rom and can just run it should it be needed…

I think there’s a major problem on the new player!!:skull

when i downloading this huge player, i’ve been workin on a project…
after installed it and tested with the new player… the project movie became decayed!! especially the sound & fade transition.

:cyclops: being curious i removed the fade …
still get the same result…:-\
but when i removed the sound from my button & keep the _alpha fade… it goes smooth… :q: very strange!!!
i only used 2 sound on the buttons… and a small loopin music

but when i replace the sound event from the button with using sound object for replacement… it goes smooth…

my conclusion is this new player has a problem with sound…
so i replaced this new player with the old one… and it goes smooth again…

is there anybody get the same problems?? :goatee:

it works gr8 for me…no problems at all!
