Hi guys. I have a pretty good grasp on swift v2 now and feel it’s time to upgrade to v3.
Now, my question is probably an obvious no brainer and I think I already know the answer but I don’t want to find out after I purchased v3 that I made a mistake. On Erain’s website, they offer swift v3 for something like $170 or the upgrade for $90. Just to make sure, the $90 upgrade is for those who have v2 already correct? Like I said, sounds pretty obvious but just want to make sure.
Yes. I don’t have either but I do know that when software companies release upgrade software you must have the previous version installed on your computer.
yes…but just a note you only get 2 installs…then you either have to deactivate on e before installing another or buy the whole thing again at full price
Here is something I am working one for my website, it’s kinda small, but it is only a preview the finished product will be 800x600
right click on it and save it then open it, my server is acting up right now.
Oh by the way Thanx!
it still sucks. It was never THAT good to begin with. But its a simple ->swf output 3d app that can do simple things fairly easily. The interface is a little flicted though and I wrote to them about that, getting the responce that some of my suggestions are being worked on for the next version. I was really hoping for more out of v3. The raster output is a welcome addition though (as is the reflections). Worth the price? For an upgrade, maybe. to buy to to have for the first time? probably. v2 (despite its flaws) can still get the job done, though if you want the v3 features you can dish out the $ and go for it. v3 isnt bad for just starting out though, and is fairly cheap to get as a fairly easy 3d ‘modeling’ app to output to both raster images and flash movies
Dude how could you say that. This proggy is hella cool. It towers over v2. You cannot do half the things you can in v3. In comparison with max and those guys okay no competition. BUt the price is very worth the output. I have put together a few things that rival the same thing done in max. My only gripe is the output is not true 3d. Therefore you cannot use it in Director. BUt other than that thisis a tool that is most valuble and should in any serious developers tool box
