Because the frequency bandwidth available to your phone line for upload is much smalller than that of the frequency bandwidth available for download.

yea the faster you want to upload the more your going to pay each month. so far cablevision is the only ISP that i can actually upload at 120kb for a reasonable price.
Your average joe (Hi, I’m joe schmucks, I don’t care about the fact my machine is sending about 2000 spam mails an hour as long as my pr0n works) doesn’t give a **** about upload speed
