Uploading Images

Hey guys, i need some advice in uploading images, you see i just got a new digital camera for Christmas and i since my computer is slow and sucks and everything else (maybe i should have got another computer). And sometimes it just freezes and doesn’t turn on for like a week, so i decided not to risk having all my pictures being erased, i should just make an internet photo album, and by the way, my burner doesn’t work either. So i am using geocities, i tried creating many accounts to have more space, but now whenever i try to upload even one image at a time, it takes like 45mins. and then says cannot connect to server. (by the way i have cable, so it should be faster uploads.) do you guys have any ideas what i should do???

                                                               -Thanks

digital images for me are no bigger than 500kb in Jpeg form, i forget which jpeg compression is used but try brinkster, geocities sucks @$$

www.brinkster.com

Hey thanks man, i will try brinkster out, and yes… i agree geocities does suck @$$

hey tried Brinkster, and when the little pop-up comes up, it closes right after, and the progress bar doesn’t move at all, and after a while it goes to cannot conect to server again, i gues the images are too big, have any other ideas? -thanks

make sure your IE internet connection firewall isn’t blocking it or your regular firewall isn’t blocking it either, also if you are running a proxy that might prevent it from making a connection

from Brinkster site:

"What file types does Brinkster NOT allow?
Files with the following extensions: .exe, .cmd, .bat, .mov, .avi, .mp3, .mpg, .mpeg, .wav, .rm, .ram, .rmx, .asf, .wmf, .wmp, and .zip files larger than 1 megabyte. These files will automatically and without notice be removed if they are found in your user space.
*Premium customers are allowed to store all file types except .cmd and .bat. "

so if its bigger than 1mb reduce ths size
