currently, i do not think, a user can lock his/her thread. if too much junk keeps on going, i think it would be appropriate to lock a thread if people start going off topic for many posts.
a possible senario:
flash mx 2004 forum:
i make a thread…
i get the answer or solve the problem or whatever…
people start taking junk, and keep on replying even though the problem is solved…
i can lock the thread, which can be unlocked upon a request if someone has the same question later on…
the original user can approve or disapprove the request.
upon approval, then thread is unlocked, and that person now can post a reply.
if no action is taken within a day, the request is added to a queue. now a mod or an admin. can approve or disapprove…
don’t know if this feature could be so useful… but what do you think?
