whats the best way for settings to play a video in a flash website, for people with 56k and then for people with dsl?
when you are importing your video just set the quality at 60% then it will be fine…
I won a copy of Sorenson Squeeze™ at a MM conference last year - thats the best way to go IMHO.

Just to add to what Senocular said…
Most people use Sorenson Squeeze or Wildform Flix. I have used both and Squeeze is easier to use. Both programs have preset settings for Dialup, Low Broadband, High Broadband, etc. The shortcoming of Squeeze is that it does not convert MPEGs into Flash which is very odd since the version of Squeeze included with Flash MX can. Flash MX uses a cheap version of Squeeze to encode AVIs, MPEGS, MOVs.
Most folks make two movies for the different connection speeds. The modem version is usually smaller dimensionally and much less picture/sound quality. The broadband version can be bigger and focus more on picture/sound quality.
