I’m trying to find a template or pre-built video/movie management system for the online preview area of my employers website. Our process is very tedious, and when we have like 20 videos to update in our client preview area, it can get nuts.
For each video (we do it batched as much as possible) we must convert to FLV, embed in an SWF, publish the SWF/HTML. Then we manually take a screen grab of the movie, manually crop and size the movie for a thumbnail on the site. Then we have to add the thumbnail to the appropriate sections with appropriate links all manually. You can see how this can take a while when I get up 20+ videos to do.
Any possible way to speed up this process would be greaaaatly appreciated. Obviously the best solution would be a fully customizable video management system but if there’s even a few small tools I could find to do the thumbnails that would be incredible.
I’m basically looking for like a corporate equivalent to YouTube for companies with a good sized client base.
