hey i was wondering if anyone here knows how professional websites and programs like winamp 3 get those neat voices saying their sites or products when u start them up. i kno it has to be a text- to -speech software but what to i kno.
Not true, I think they’ll just hire a voice artist, text to speech programs never sound real

You wanna know how they get those voices? Open your mouth and start talking
Raydred!
yep, get raydred to, he made a pretty good blurb about kirupa. Even if he did say keyrupa :P.
yeah i’d just talk into a mic, or get someoen with a nice wocie to do it for you
You could hire a voice talent. (Which can be costly…) Or get a mic, say what you want and play with the sound sample in the sound editor of your choice. =)

I have one problem though, everytime I say something, it always sounds mono-ish and faded out, anyway to fix that?

Get a good mic, and check your recording settings. =)
