He just checked in today (first in a while), so you may wish to email him, if this is time sensitive…

VRML :shudders: why oh why!?!? hehe

would something like this help:q:

http://www.ryerson.ca/dmp/courses/vrml/

( just did a google search :stuck_out_tongue: )

I honestly don’t know enough VRML to judge it, but I am going to anyway and say it is evil… I just don’t like it and I still don’t even really know the use for it :-\ If anyone could clear that one up for me that would be great :beam:

lol lostinbeta… and thanks ahmed, great link, im checkin it out now.

I just re-read that and realized it sounded like I don’t know what VRML is… I know what it is and I know what it looks like, but I just don’t get the purpose of it, its not really a standard, and not many people actually have a VRML plugin installed if I am correct. Who would use it and why?

personally I’ve never heard of it. Am I the only one?

ill TELL YOU WHO WOULD USE IT. a PERSON who is TAKING a stupid CLASS and is beign FORCED into USING somthing that she DOESNT think has any PRACTICAL application since ANYTHING you can do with stuff like this you can ALSO do in FLASH. hahahahahah
just kiddin around. i have no idea why anyone would use it for general web stuff, since, like you said, no one has the stuff to see it anyways. but i do see a practical use for it in cetain feils such as sculpture, or architecture, or engineering or something… theres gotta be some validity in it… right?.. right?

Unflux: No, your not the only one, im sure there are plenty of others since VRML is not very popular.

golgi: exactly, I don’t see it serving any serious practical use either, unless I am overlooking something. I don’t know, I’ve checked out VRML a long time ago and I just saw no point in learning it at all, I don’t get why your school is making you learn it.

Geez…

http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/VRML/

All the links on that page are dead. If the own w3c can’t keep up the info on VRML you know its a deadbeat language!..lol.

well, that’s good to know, I guess…

I may want to do some quick reading on it at least to get an idea.
Doesn’t sound practical or popular, but I don’t like to be totally in
the dark about stuffs. thx
