Bill Gates was quoted to have said that Blu-Ray and HD-DVD will be the last Disc media. Reading this I think hes actually right.

Seems people are getting comfortable with the video on demand thingy and tivos and the fact that these technologies arent plagued with as much DRM as both of these formats its a no brainer both of these technologies will have a pretty short lifespan.
