Wat are [edit] tags that every1 does?

read the subject:trout: :bu: =)

it’s a way to show what you edited. So if you have a post and see you misspelled a word the next day, you can edit it and put the edit tags around that word to show you just changed the spelling of that word, and not the content of your post.

or if you wanna add something to your post, instead of making a new one, you just edit it and point that out with the [edit] thing

well, now thats tehre is quick edit y dont people just use that?

bleh… you just dont get it :-\

please spell out your questions, so we don’t have to break out the secret decoder ring for each post…

and we use the [edit] tags to let everyone else what in that post was edited. the quickedit just edits the post, adds a footnote, but doesn’t get specific.

Rev

im not stupid…just slow

;)

I’m with ya rev.

actually kh3mical, you’re not slow, you’re too quick. It’s obvious that you are not having problems with the language, but instead didn’t bother to type out your question properly. There’s no rule against being incoherant, but you wont win any friends. It shows a general lack of respect for our time and energy. I know that I completely ignore most questions writen in such a manner.

Personaly, m reayl rtired of peple writn garbbel d measses just ebcause they cant taek time to type correctly.

ditto

thanks for pointing that out

ppl who rite lik dis r 2 annoying :-\

I swear… if I could ban everyone who uses L33t speak I would. Be happy I’m not in charge here people. Random would be emptied within a day. :stuck_out_tongue:

lol, ur taking it to seroiusly it was just a simple typo. professionals do it as well. i just use “y” and “wat” and “every1”
:)

[edit]and “ur”[/edit]

I’m not taking it personaly. I know that you aren’t doing it to piss me off.

Funny however that you say in one breath that it was just a typo, and then in the next you say that you’re using l33t speak, something which is not a typo but a purposeful misuse of the english language.

I do take offense to someone waisting my, and my fellow kirupian’s time with crap posts. L33t speak is for jerks who don’t want to take the time to write out anything, making the rest of us work harder to understand what they are attempting to say.

I think l33t speakers are a plague upon the internet. Dont’ take it personaly… :stuck_out_tongue:

you still used the [edit] wrong :stuck_out_tongue:

It is to note that you edited a pre-existing post, not that you are creating a new post to act as an edit to your previous post.

[edit]oh look, i edited this part in after i replied[/edit]

I was going to post the same thing lost :stuck_out_tongue:

[edit]well, that was an unnecessary comment :P[/edit]

Just ignore me guys. I’ll deal with the l33t speak. I’m just in a pissy mood. It has nothing to do with you personaly Kh3mical.

well, just in case. i apollogise for my leet speak and ill never speak leet ur presence.

i dont wanna get on anybodys bad side. ;)

Hey… I use “lol” and other forms of l33t speak. Most of the time people don’t even realize that they are doing it. That would be like someone asking me not to type in “lol”.

Like I said kh3mical… just ignore my comments about l33t speakers. There are no rules here against l33t speak. If you are asking a question though… we appreciate as little l33t speak as you can manage. It increases our speed in answering, and decrease our agrivation at having to figure out what you’re typing.

for the record… I dont’ ever use the “edit” comments. I don’t really care if someone thinks I’ve edited something or not. They are not necessary in any way…
