Weird Component Problem

I’ve never come across this problem before so I’m wondering if anyone has seen it and knows what the problem is.

My Problem

I’m loading in a swf into an empty placeHolder, the swf contains a ComboBox Component. When it’s loaded into the placeHolder it doesn’t drop down or do anything. If I load it into the main timeline, it works.

Does anyone know why the ComboBox Component works on the main timeline but not inside an MC?

You have to use componentinstance.setMask(mask_mc); look it up in the actionscript dictionary, you will find the slution there!

where: componentinstance
is the name of the movieclip which contains the dynamic text field…
