Orange: ‘Shush Penfold!’ :stuck_out_tongue:

TOOL: sorry, but their accents really arent the same

pfft! Astroboy… 80s cartoons were all about Thundercats, Mask, He-Man and Transformers. I have my quality Autobots t-shirt on atm. It rocks

Oh come on, they are so much alike!

Yeah I watched He-man, Transformers and Thundercats as well I think. Good times :beam:

I just bought a ‘Count Duckula’ DVD. ME and my Gf were watching it the other day, havn’t felt so happy for ages! Cosgrove Hall Rule!
(the people who made Danger Mouse and Duckula)

Did you know that Cosgrove Hall also produced he animated Discworld series?

You’ve probably just insulted a lot of people from Yorkshire…

Thundercats rocked. As did Dungeons and Dragons, Take Hart and Hartbeat, Bagpuss, The Adventure Game, Transformers, Jamie and teh Magic Torch, Mr Ben…

Oh Count Duckula! Very cool  We’ve made a nice job of changing this thread :sigh:

bod!

Those Yorkshirians can just deal with it! :stuck_out_tongue:

ack! I forgot about Dungeons & Dragons! thanks kit
such a cool cartoon… I think I have some videos somewhere…

“Castle Duckula, home for many centuries to a dreadful dynasty of vicious vampire ducks – the Counts of DUCKULA. Legend has it that these fowl beings can be destroyed by a stake through the heart, or exposure to sunlight. This does not suffice, however, for they may be brought back to life by means of a secret rite, which can be performed once a century, when the moon is in the eighth house of Aquarius. The latest reincarnation did not run according to plan…”. Duckular was created with ketchup instead of blood and now is a vegitarian vampire. Voiced by David Jason - Classic

Videos of Dungeons and Dragons? :beam:

Whatever happened to them in the end, did they escape? I need closure, I never saw the end!

Let me also cite the following:

Around the World with Willy Fogg
Dogtanian and the Three Muskerhounds
Cities of Gold (the Inca one with the golden condor)

Dogtanian! I nearly bought that on DVD the other day, except i had ran out of money.

I have all that on video. :stuck_out_tongue: Well, my parents do, they taped it for me.

I can’t believe they have it on DVD though, that’s just funny.

yeah… well that’ll teach you for wasting it on Count Duckula! :stuck_out_tongue:
admittedly… now I suppose it’s quite funny… but it used to annoy me.
I was much more into action-based cartoons

yes kit: two videos in fact… 4…? or is it 6? episodes  plus a few billion more that we recorded off the tv :beam: there was one ep where they actually made it back to earth… but then had to go back in… most of the others… they just had ‘a chance’ to go back, but never made it… I think there were one or two where they actually set foot back in the real world

those 3 cartoons kit… they were ok… but… they kinda annoyed me… they were just so boring! though, city of gold was cool… not that I can remember anything about it :thumb:

money spent on Duckula is most certainly NOT wasted. two hours of Duckular goodness for just £6!

Indeed :bad:

Does anyone remember Knightmare? Where a group of kids sit and guide their friend around a virtual dungeon and he has to wear a big helmet on his head? And the dungeon master was the huge guy with a beard? Anyone remember?! Hope so, it was a big part of my childhood :P:P

Oh my god!!! The theme tune!!!

  • Soul :s:

I had a mate who went on it! I used to love that programme so much! Tregard was the beardy bloke, and the elf was called Pickle…

Actually, they’re showing reruns on Challenge TV if you have cable / satellite / digital. It’s on Sunday afternoons. :beam:

:beam: :beam: Tape me some Kit!! :beam:

Sure thing.

Knightmare was such a great programme. And those graphics at the time seemed like, incredible.

lol… Knightmare! what a show! :thumb:

and yes… the graphics were amazing…

nightmare was so cool… Anyone remember the show that replaced it? it was designed to be all ‘cyber’ and ‘futuristic’. It sucked big time sigh

as for challenge TV, i think they run a show called ‘takashis castle’, its so funny! anyone else seen it?
