What’s your record for time per line of code? Yesterday I took 3.5 hours to write 6 lines of code. It sucked. I established a new record for myself.

i once spent all day on a mailform sending it to a cgi script. I
think it was like 14 lines total, but took me 9 hrs to get it right.
After all that, it still didn’t work. :sigh:
Needless to say, I use php for this now. =)
got no clue… never though of it… i’ll try to find out that though

Umm… Well… I spent 2 months making a C++ program wth a simple Float-Number problem when dividing into rounded variens.
The program ended up being 30 lines… Of code code… Not the installer and include lines.

7 days on and off to get a few lines of code right.
I worked on a project for about 4 days and then decided to scrap it.
I worked on my PHP mail form script for about a week straight.
Turned out that my server only allowed only an e-mail address set up for the admin of the server to be used (I mooch space off of my friends server).
So technically I don’t know when my script actually got working, but after a week I went about nuts and trashed it.
Then Eilsoe let me re-write it and test it out on his server, worked like a charm
speaking of that, are you still using it?
Yeppers, do you mind? If you do, I can remove it.
Oh yeah, but lately I haven’t been able to connect to your server 
PM me about the problems, cliche moved the IP adress, so maybe that’s it…
and I don’t mind mind if you still use it Just remember to notify me when you’re done Just so it doesn’t lie there taking up space
Ah, don’t remember, but one day I spent about 6 hours to find one small little bug in a JavaScript menu system. Ugh.
Oh, and COBOL still gives me nightmares when it comes to debugging… it was a project for school, 2 years ago. ;(
One time it took me all day to fix 1 line of code… it was a stupid misspelling =)

We’ve all done it, what i ussualy do now, is stop, walk away for an hour or so think about something else… then come back =) and typically i spot it right off the bat =)

oh i hated these days.
but the greatest record was when i was trying to make the quadratic forumla on c++; it took me like more than 3 months and it still does not work i dont know y. i just gave up i couldn’t handle another 3 months of faluire.
Actually my longest record is 7 years hehe i never understood programming until now ive been trying to program for the past 7 years NOW i get it… talk about a delay! lol =)
