I have a pretty serious problem… I’m either a very bad impulse buyer or possibly one of the worlds best, depends on how you look at it.
Anyway the short version of the story is I went to BestBuy to get 20ft of Networking Cable and 2 hours later walked out with 2 19" Flat Panles and a New HP Workstation.
It all started as I was walking through the TV section, thinking… My new apartment needs a TV… Oh 52" HDTV… I could get it…
Then I said NO. This is the part of the story where I actually show some self-control.
Then I went into the computer section to get my cable. Found it… but hmm I could look at new monitors… I mean I need it for work…
Well there were some nice 17"s and some very nice 19"s. But my computer is what is laggin these days and I should really upgrade that… but if I upgrade my computer I have to get better screens. I have 2 15"s now. So there I was stuck in that catch 22. I decided on two 17"s but… no they only have 1 in stock… But I already decided to get 2 monitors and a computer… Well they have the 19"s in stock…
I really needed someone to call. I could tell early on in my journey to BestBuy that I needed a shopping buddy who I could call and have them talk me down. I don’t know what it is, but me and money have some anti-cosmic reaction, like magnets. So I think we should start a buddy sytem. You shouldn’t go swimming alone, so why should you go shopping alone.
Feel free to PM me before you think you might go do “a little window shopping” and I’ll be sure to keep my mobile phone on.
Oh and I got half way home and realized I forgot the networking cable.
