Windows Codename Longhorn will finally use high quality .PNG files for it’s icons. The new format will help Microsoft’s “Revolutionary 3d Enviroment,” which was not shown at PDC but was talked about.
I think .PNGs are so much better than Icons.
Someone over at MS must have been ill the day they decided that.
Supprised they didn’t come up with some new image format .MSI

FYI: MSI = Microsoft Installer 
was an example not a suggestion
THey could, Longhorn is still in it’s early alpha stage.
