True, but you still have to admit he did sway alot of people to his side. He was good at that. And people only started disliking his stuff after the little “poland” incident 
The other thing is that while he may have had some really bad ideas, his regime got things done. Ex: The invented the Volkswagon (sp?) and magnetic recording tape (cassette tape)! Not to mention the enigma machine, etc.
One final thought: Do atheletes get a gold for running a good race but not finishing first? I think not.
