he really has some killa styles, and we can comment on them in the forums and suggest what dosent look right, bugs, and what can be done to make it look better.

does using a theme slow down your computer at all?

if you do it the neowin way, i dont think so.

As long as you aren’t using a 3rd party program, you’ll be fine. I prefer the neowin method because it simply swaps the uxtheme.dll file, so your comp doesn’t load anything extra. Some of the themes themselves (with all their gradients, images, custom graphic menus, etc.) may take up more resources than a standard XP style.

You can set StyleXP so it doesn’t take up any system resources.

I like to use Style XP - as like “Krilnon” said you can make it so it doesnt use any system resources. The only thing with Style XP is you need to buy it to register! Unless you can um find a … well anyway Style XP is my choice for installing themes.

I used to also use themxp.org to download themes from as it USED to be good - now its full of advertisments and when u download a theme it installs so much crap onto your computer!

hm hm…i cant really remember, but if i’m not wrong style xp still uses system resources. hit ctrl+alt+del, and check out the processes tab.
