Ok, I’ve been playing with the XML Gallery tutorial here and I was able to retool it to match what I was needing (slideshow banner) however the client hates the transition. I had previously mocked up a temporary image fader SWF that basically cross-faded the images. It was an ugly tween-based affair which basically zero’d the alpha to reveal the pic on the layer behind, resulting in a smooth transition.
However, as I said, it’s tween based and BULKY (we’re talking 50 images @ ~40k per) so I was hoping the XML Gallery would help, and I personally LOVED the results, but the customer is always right. So my question to the forum is how would you recommend re-forming the code to allow for the next image to preload behind the current?
