I was wondering if anyone could help me, I’m trying to use the excellent message board that I found on the Kirupa website. I have been trying to modify it so that when put up on a live website the submit area is behind a password protected area.
So that the general public would not be able to post messages. I have attached the modified files but there seems to be a problem with them. It seems to work for some time but then the XML file seems to blank itself without warning meaning that the messages don’t show.

The Fla file is in the messageboard_fla.zip and the rest of the files are in the [URL=“http://www.kirupa.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=35137&stc=1&d=1144923997”]files.zip file
What I would like to do is: when the administrator logs in with his/her password they gain access to the submit area where they can type the message and title. When they hit submit it writes the message to the xml file which is shown in the public area.
I’m wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction here with this as you can imagine its rather annoying. Any help would be appreciated
