So there’s a thread about great office pranks, well…what about your own pranks? I’ll start off with my best. Keep in mind I’m only 20 :thumb2:
The Prank Call
There were 4 of us in a car driving around. I borrow my friend’s cell to call my girlfriend, and accidentally transposed 2 of the numbers. The lady I ended up calling on accident picks up…so I say
“Hey is Becca there?”
She replies
"[insert 40 expletives] and hangs up.
I am normally pacifistic in most situations, but for some reason this really irritated me. I had my other friends in the car dial her number and all asked to speak with Becca. She get’s really, really angry. There’s more…
I go home and log on mxforums.com (HUGE musician forum) and post a thread in the general section asking everyone to prank call this phone number and ask to speak with Becca. We had people in different continents calling this woman. If I can find that thread, I’ll post it here.
At the time I worked at Starbucks and was in management. I put a sign infront of the register stating “Call this number, ask for Becca, and receive a free drink.” We also had a mini concert their that night that I co-hosted, in which I asked everyone in the audience to call the number and ask for Becca.
Her voicemail then changed to, “I am going to find out who is doing this, and call the police, stop calling me!” Beep.
Lawn Gnomes
For a reason undefined, lawn gnomes were hilarious to my group of friends and I. Seriously, gnomes? Yep. Seriously.
We were driving around one night, and decided we wanted the lawn gnomes*. This was at 10pm, around 5am we were done and had a few good lawn gnomes and addresses written down. We proceeded to decorate the gnomes, and then return them to the homes of their owners.
Eventually it led to cleptomania, as we did this every weekend for a whole summer. We would drive to Orlando and place these ornaments in random houses, we even placed one in a popular comic book store in Orlando where we played Magic at. The gnome is still their today and a sort of mascot to the store.
We’ve grown out of that stage, but we had alot of good laughs.
*Stealing is illegal and I am no way suggesting anyone do the same.
