There should be some way to nicely tell somebody that they’ve, well, gone in way too deep and are trying to do something far beyond what they can. There are too many threads where people ask for tons of stuff to be done for them, not realizing how difficult it is.
Yeah, so, what is the appropriate action to take when there is a thread like this? Should we report it… or use some type of “You don’t know what you’re talking about” tag… or what?
"You don’t know what you’re talking about."
Or better yet, explain to them why they don’t know what they’re talking about. It’s nicer and it may actually help.
Nah too much risk of offending people if there is a noob tag, or something like it. If you are too lazy to explain to them they are over their head then just let someone else do it.
exactly… people come here to learn, and if we smash them with the “n00b tag”, they will get upset and leave. I always try my best to offer an answer andexplaination of how i got that answer to threads on here.

A little offensive… eh?
Yeah, I know that would be offensive… that’s why I’m trying to come up with a nice way to do it… but I guess it kind of has to be personalized each time.
