I beg to differ. One of my required courses as a Comp Sci major was a class called Numerical Analysis. The entire course was about calculating the rounding error that occurs in a sequence of calculations. Every computer is accurate to a certain number of decimal places. Over the course of lengthy calculations the resulting rounding error gets compounded. Statistically the likelyhood is that the plus and minus errors will offset, but you can’t assume that. We had to assume worst case scenario that all the errors were in the same direction. Based on the accuracy of the computer we were using, and the accuracy of the entry data, we had to determine the accuracy of the end results. A real nasty course, especially at 8:00 AM.

lol i thought the same thing! i was like, hmm he could just write like a 2 doller check and it would carry over for ever! lol
AT&T once wrote me 3 times because I owed them $10.03. I had not used my AT&T acct. ever, so I just ignored them, let them sort it out. Finally, I paid them, just to stop them from calling me. The very next month, I get a reversal on that amount. I then still did not use that acct. for over a year. I received a check in the mail for $11.43, the amount plus interest about 3 months ago… I still haven’t used that acct.

I got a bill the other day for my final paymet on my cell phone account. It was for $0.56. IT had 6 pieces of paper double sided print and 3 add flyers in it plus the envolope. I’m sure it cost more for them to send me this stack off paper then the bill was worth.
