A bit difficult this effect!

I want to achieve an effect similar to the project Joshua in www.natzke.com! It looks great but I think it’s a bit difficult!

Here’s another god example but a bit different!

thanks for any possible help!

Hello again to all!

I bring this subject again because I still didn’t get any help on this! I will keep on trying!
:trout:

This comment was stupid and i take it back. :trout:

**Edited due to immaturity.

Barels: No need to be sarcastic. As for your effect, I’m sure someone here knows the answer to your question… we’ll see if someone comes along with an answer.

oh, and that effect isn’t terribly difficult. Its just resizing movie clips in association with the movie clips around it…

As for your question in the first post. Have you ever looked at how the movie works? What rotates when you move your mouse, what pops up when you move over it, or how the dynamic fields work? No? I thought so.

Jubba!
I think r@b was the fist being sarcastic when he accused me of not being original!

I thing yugo nakamura (yougup.com) invented the effect (nervous matrix on Mona Lisa), and Natzke improve it with the Joshua project! I don’t think he as copied yugo´s work! That’s why flash is always pushing the limits, because people try to do something diferent with what they already have!

And I really find that effect extremely difficult because I’m new in flash and I don´t have the skills to do it alone that’s why I´m looking for help, and I also think the effect is extremely cool and original!
I want to use it in a different way for my next project, but it is very difficult find some information on the effect.
I guess that many people find it difficult also and maybe that’s why there is no info on this!

“oh, and that effect isn’t terribly difficult. Its just resizing movie clips in association with the movie clips around it…” – help!!

And again…thanks for any possible help!

…And r@b, you’re being sarcastic again…That’s ok!

1- He wasn’t being sarcastic, he was pointing out that copying other peoples work isn’t original. Which in itself is a stupid comment. I dont’ care who was being sarcastic or not. Stop it now. Both of you.

2- We don’t need an explanation of who did what or why they did it or who’s code they improved on. We dont’ care.

3- If you’re new to Flash then you should start with the easy stuff before you get into the harder stuff. crawl before you can walk. Walk before you can run.

End Conversation.

OK!
End of conversation…but if you find anything that can help me out i will be very appreciated!

…and I´m will crawling before i can walk…

yea why are you trying use techniques that experienced developers are using. start out with something more simple, you’ll find you will learn a lot more that way

you´re right! it´s an complicated technique!..may be in a couple of years i´ll get there!

I´ll by a book! any sugestion!?

Wow, Yugo Nakamura and Joshua Davis… i’m not even close to the level these guys are on and i’ve been using Flash for almost a year now.

I definitely recommend starting smaller.

Do you have any previous coding experience?

http://rgportfolio.planetaclix.pt/…! The first I did was very basic almost with no AS, but on this 2nd I´ve put some of the skills and AS that I´ve learned here on kirupa!

I’m thinking of buying mock´s book to learn some programming skills!

Sorry…paste failed

No! I’m just starting! But I have finished my 2nd site some days ago! http://rgportfolio.planetaclix.pt/…! The first I did was very basic almost with no AS, but on this 2nd I´ve put some of the skills and AS that I´ve learned here on kirupa!

I meant if you had any scripting experience in anything other than AS :stuck_out_tongue: If you do it definitely helps the learning process, but if you don’t, the road of AS may or may not be easy, depending on your understand on how code works.

And yes… Actionscript Definitive Guide MX (ASDG2) by Colin Moock I hear is an excellent book (Moock is awesome, so I trust this is true), but since I have no AS books I am in no position to recommend one to you :stuck_out_tongue:

Well I would say a good place to start was Colin Moocks book (make sure to get the MX one… a lot of AS has changed from Flash 5 to MX).

 Thanks for the tip…i will buy that Colin Moocks book that everyone talks about and i will try to learn some more of flash!

Cool. If you want you can buy me one too :beam::sure:
