A cellphone ban polling at 77% doesn't tell you if it actually works

Survey says 77% support bans. That’s not surprising. Adults love the idea that removing the distraction removes the problem. But I’m curious what actually happens in classrooms that try it. Do kids just get better at hiding phones, or do they actually pay attention?

The real issue might not be the phones themselves. It’s that classrooms aren’t engaging enough to compete with what’s in their pockets. A ban doesn’t fix that.
