If a college student is just starting out in the field of web design and flash animation and desires to work for companies instead of making a living as a freelancer, what type of position should he/she strive for in order to get the most of out of the web development career? After 3-5 years, what should this person do beyond regular web development duties?
Also, what are other related web communications/development fields that a Flash animator or designer should branch into after several years of experience? For example, how closely related is social media, community management and SEM to web development?
