right…(ha-ha)
Us Houstonians don’t take kindly to Enron jokes.
Seriously though, it has really hit us hard. Enron, Arthur Anderson, likely space program cutbacks, Compaq merger…Houston is looking bleak at the moment.

Didn’t houston already have like, 60 quasi-trillion square feet of unused office space?

Not sure about that. They just finished another skyscraper (tallest to date) to add to the skyline.
I’m guessing Houston is trying to cash in on sports. We have a new football stadium almost complete for the “Houston Texans” (which is next to and dwarfs the Astrodome) and of course the new “Enron Field” which is now just “Astros Stadium” thanks to a $14 million contribution to Enron to get their bloody name off of it.
Now there’s talk of a new basketball stadium.
They’re trying to get a bid for the Olympics in 2020 or something but seem to be blind to the fact that the economy is falling apart. It’s a long shot.
Too bad I don’t like sports.

I know you guys like your stuff to be BIG!
