When we name an instance into a movie/button/graphic there is a little ‘advanced menu’ underneath the naming box…
what’s the use of the ‘linkage’, ‘export for action script’ ? and all these functions ?

You use that when you want to attach your clip from the library (no duplication so no symbol on the scene at the time you attachMovie).

MCs that have linkage can be put on the scean but also be pulled from the library at runtime, giving it a new instance name can tell it where to go what to do and attach some AS to it tooo kinda like loading an external picture or text for AS ect
