American Id's

For quite some time I have had a general idea of what I expected to come from the states. I did expect a mandatory id that prevents, or rather, attempts to prevent terrorist attacks or general war issues. I thought perhaps that it would come as a different fashion, of course following the biblical revelation of the ‘mark of the beast’.

I have heard/discovered the following things: (please correct me with any relative documents if my information seems wrong)

1~ Dog tags in the army need to be replaced by a better means of tracking as they easily get lost.

2~ They have implemented a tatoo type marking on some areas of the u.s. army which can be scanned and used for identification purposes.

3~ This tatoo is in the form of a bar code

4~ The bar code can only be placed on the back of the hand or the forehead as the skin is thin enough to penetrate with the laser

5~ Bibically the ‘mark of the beast’ was only placed on the hand/forehead.

6~ ANY, and i do mean ANY barcode will work ONLY if those 2 skinny long lines are there 3 times. Look on any barcode (a full one not one on a pop can that only has the last half) and you will notice that on the ends and then in the middle the double lines with no numbers assigned to them. Those double lines represent 6 on a computer scan. Look it up. You’ll see that a barcode is duplicated like a mirror on the right side from a copy of the left, so it can be scanned upside down. It results in every bar code having 3 6’s.

7~ 666? Biblical? Hmmm…

8~ Marking our hand/forehead with a barcode. Hmmmm…

Although at first I find it difficult, as I’m sure you also would, to believe that the states would be able to implement a requirement for having a tatoo engraved under your skin, why would most people care, seeing as it would be an invisible convienient way to rid yourself of your wallet and prevent people from being able to steal/use your id. If they are to do something this drastic I believe the government will have to make it this and more to have it accepted into society. Watch for this speech. It could be coming soon.

I think a small card that contains most of your personal information would be better. For example, on campus, I carry around my ID card which allows me to do everything from open doors, pay for food, watch movies, get my grades, etc. from any nearby location. If you happen to lose it, just go online and tell the card office to disable your card, and it instantly becomes as useless as the plastic it was made out of.

The ethical issues that some groups would propose to having something tattooed on their bodies would keep this from actually happening for the entire population. It also sounds painful, so I probably wouldn’t voluntarily get one of those

I am not sure if the Biblical connection is entirely useful, but the supposed inventor of the barcode system has this to say about it: http://members.aol.com/productupc/666quest.html .

Seretha - there are a few more threads in here or in Random that deal with some similar issues such as IDs in swallowable, pill forms.

all you are doing by creating a new ID, is creating a new source of income for forgers…

That’s true. For almost anything though, we have to presume that a small chunk of the population will take the illegal way to do it. There is no real way to stop that, and people shouldn’t waste time and effort trying to stop that either.

The day software becomes uncrackable, that is the day smart IDs will be of use to everyone for more purposes than general data storing. No matter how secure any information that is stored on us, somebody out there will find a way to use it for a purpose it wasn’t intended for :asleep:

so the system will always be faulty, so why invest more in a system where only honest people will have correct ID…

Rev

And we are all goose-stepping right now; We just don’t know it yet;

Yay!! Thanks for that! I agree…

As far as ID’s go, its only a matter of time. RIFD (radio-frequency ID) chips have found their way into Gillete Razors at some Wal-Marts. Brings new meaning to the name, ‘Gillete Sensor’ eh?

Doubt all this? Read it straight from the horses mouth. Here is a link to Applied Digital Solutions, maker of the VeriChip: http://www.adsx.com/prodservpart/verichip.html

I read an article about a subdermal implant tracking chip that is commerically available in Mexico. The same type of chip is now available for your pets here in America™!! Ask your vet about it; it is a very real technology.

Still other types of chips have been developed, some that are powered off of a living humans warmth, i believe, and they work as long as the recipient is alive and breathing. When you die, the chip dies. Scientists spent time and money, to find the best places on a human body to place such a chip, and the two places that they concluded on, were: the right hand (the right, and not the left, as it has better blood flow, due to the off-center placement of the human heart), or the forehead… The author of the article made an important point by noting that these scientists wasted their efforts, only to come to a conclusion that was already available in the book of Revelations.

all the animals you get from the “pound” (which has a real funny source) will have their gender removed, and a microchip implanted…

at least in SF…

I can see the doggy lawyers lining up…

Yeah, and in some places I heard that they are lasing an ID barcode onto the bones of some pets.
