In the past I have succeeded in making simple sites according to the wonderful kirupa Full Flash Site tutorial, and have been trying to find an AS3 equivalent, or translation.
I have really been doing the rounds on the internet, doing tutorials that I thought would help, but they have led me away from the (seemingly simple) structure I want to make
The basic things that I am wanting to learn (or translate from AS2):
Having a main navigation menu (which is constantly visible); animated buttons on it; each of these buttons loading an external .swf into a blank mc (and thereby removing the mc which is existing in the blank mc).
I would be so happy to be pointed to any source of learning for these specific topics… my designer brain is getting so muddled by all this code… I’m super ready to try and understand, but I need specific and simple direction!
