try the type underneath the image
or you could make the type like spikes like how they sit on spikes and meditate like your image.
if the topic includes meditation or something of that sort maybe you should aim for a logo similar to that of ying/yang
i think the writing would look better in the bottom right, in line with the bottom of the figure. Also, i would change the writing so that is had the same colour scheme as the figure. (same fill colour with white outline). I like the font you have used though. It is nice and clear, and fits in quite well.
Also, think about which you want to be the most obvious feature of the logo. Which element do you want the viewer to be attracted to first? The figure, or the writing?
Whichever you want as the most dominant, give that a slightly thicker outline. Nothing major, just make it about 0.5 thicker.

I think it looks good, the only the I would do is hit that white outlining with the blur tool to smooth it out…it looks somewhat pixelated. Good Job
you should kern the letter better (i.e the spacing between the U and the V).
Also really important, be very clear about where the logo is used (i.e. web, print, letterheads etc).
Make sure the colour translates well across the board
i don’t think the green box is very inspiring (is that just to demonstrate colour or is it part of the logo)?
think about how the logo uses space, line things up very accurately and be very clear about its purpose. What are you saying with logo? What are you selling - if anything?
How well will this thing scale?
I think the logo has potential, but you have to tighten it up a lot.
be carefully stroking the letters, this can cause lots of legilibility problems when resized.
