CS class meaning Computer Science… People with EE can also answer this, no worries… 
CS as in computer science or creative suite 
Yeah I’m happy. My current professor for senior design is hip on all the dynamic flash stuff. Some professors to don’t keep up with the new technologies…

Actually I could’ve picked it but they’re learning basic HTML there (or so I hear)…
Although the teacher I used to have (a couple of years ago when we were learning Word&Excel < - oh boy) was ok. He didn’t force me to go to any of his classes and let me do the stuff at home, since I didn’t need any “guiding”
And the fact that we were learning MS Office was because of the syllabus, so in general , the teacher is is ok
I’m a sophomore in CompE, but I’ve been learning all my C programming out from a book :-/

:lol: the closest thing I took to CS was some form of desktop publishing… which was soooo unbearilby boring I had to test outta that crap. Now that I think of it though, if I could do college over again, I would’ve taken more CS related programs mixed in w/ my ghetto design classes.
If I could do it over again I would have gone to fullsail:(
I hadn’t heard of fullsail until now. I checked out their site, wow, I’m pretty impressed. Especially since I can’t decide on a college. Thanks for posting!

I’m still in high school, but my AP computer science teacher does jack s***. It’s basically a “teach yourself from the book” class. Which I guess I’m alright with, but I don’t get much work done.
Which college are you leaning towards? Personally, I was looking to attend a UC but I don’t know if one will suit what I’m aiming to learn. Any reason in particular you decided against Fullsail?
I thought you ment CS as in Photoshop… and i already hit vote for show me what others think. My CS teacher is so dumb its not even funny.
I’m going to Iowa State University (probably double majoring in Comp Sci and Business).
Honestly, I nixed Fullsail because it seemed more like a Community College or Technical School than a University and I didn’t really think that a degree from there would be coparable to a University degree (especially since it’s only a 2-year program). That’s just not what I was looking for.
Yep - with the exception of the workload, I’m happy with both my classes and Professors I’ve had over the years
Mine is decent, but his code is so bad I had to check no. He takes me to comp sci contests with seniors though (I’m a freshmen ;P… </bragging>) so I can’t complain that much.
But yeah, it’s just the yuckiness of the code. :lol:
Back when I was at school (I left in '99) the internet was only just blooming. All “CS” (or IT as it is/was over here) comprised of was useless things like using Excel, Word, Access etc. My teacher was a geography teacher basically just filling in. I’d like to think things have changed now!
our computer teacher(i’m still in high school) is just ok. I think i’m his favorite though. But we just read a book and learn from there.
btw, our lessons(now) are still s**t, as we have microsoft access for sophomore year:(
next school year though, visualbasic:(
I’m actually really glad I took VB while in highscool. It gave me a good foundation and programming ‘mind’ without getting too complicated in syntax structure. I took VB then moved on to Java. Kinda wish I took Cisco too 
my highschool teacher/professor was awesome. he just gave an assignment, and told us to do it correctly, but never gave full score unless there was the “wow” factor. it was great!!! i loved those classes like crazy, we did vB (but that teacher was horrible) then we did c++ and java.
i’m in univ. now and it’s so bad… the professor tells us to remember functions from programs we wrote, and function names they provide are so gimpy!!! remembering functions is something like this… we get some part like .h file from the website, then we write some functions in the implementation file, and since function names are so lame, one can’t even remember what the function does. so then he asks in the exam, what would happen if i did this? i say to myself, "do i care?"
and oh yes, we have to use “THEIR” compiler, which is the worse thing… anyone tried compiling a c++ program on linux with g++? if you’ve a header file, and implementation file, and the main program file, then here it is:
g++ -c Main.cpp
g++ -c implementation.cpp
g++ Main.o implementation.o -o fileToRun
./fileToRun
what the heck is all this crap? just to compile and run a ■■■■ thing, i’ve to type 4 lines? i really wish they start using visual studio, cheap people… :*(

Yeah i would take the programming courses but i really don’t wanna do qbasic(messes with my head), if i could do programming 2(c++) i’d like it, doesn’t matter I can keep up with the programming kids without taking the class.
But I take hardware stuff A+, Cisco pretty cool, very little homework other than study for those exams ( cisco makes some weird questions… ) ,and its great the teacher loves teaching he’ll help you out with comptuer problem you have at home, talk about his old times in the navy, his subaru, and is understanding (lets ya turn in whitepapers 15 minutes late )
