Asdg Mx

Wonder what that is?
A life/time-saver par excellence!!

Folks, I just felt like posting this,

Action
Script the
Definitive
Guide for Flash
MX

is really a must-have book, I was coding some dreadfull stuff with Selection, tabIndex, tabChildren (know what that is…?), textfields, buttons, clips etc, and this book just saved me so much time, there really is everything in there, the index makes it a breeze to find what you need, all entries with examples…all I can add is, GO GET IT!!

(can sell my Flash 5 issue if you want, got both  )!!
Thanks, Colin!

Yes, when I get enough money to splurge on a Flash book, that is definitely the first book I am going after.

Oh yeah, and don’t forget teh ASDG2 pocket reference

is the pocket reference just as good as the bigger version?

it’s just 160 pages, and, well, it’s not a ‘definitive guide’ type of book, but rather a pocket reference. =)

You have/read it?
What’s in it?
What’s NOT in it?

I don’t have it ;(

I went through the book’s index and asked others about it, they said it isn’t as comprehensive =)

I’ve gone through the index of the pocket version, not as good as the guide, but I dare say that some of my friends were happy with it since you don’t have to carry off the whole guide with you all the time.

ASDG2 is the best book I have seen in this period, though.

Right, but who needs to carry the book with them all the time? :stuck_out_tongue:

People who uses ASDG2 as their reference, unlike Flash MX’s reference, ASDG2 is supplied with examples that let you ‘really’ undestand what the statement is about, the book is worth it, do a saving and you’ll see.
