Assistance with Optus Cable

I know a few of you are on Optus Cable and I wanted to ask you some questions since you guys are already using it and receiving the bill.

Right now, we are with Optus for Home Phone and Iprimus for Dial-Up.

I sent an email yesterday to Optus Support and one of the guys called me this morning about my inquiries. I clearly stated that:

  1. We currently are with Optus for Home Phone access
  2. And I wanted to know the monthly cost for Home Phone & Cable (Unlimited Plan)

He said it was a total of $64.95 a month (excluding the cost of manual local calls).

Now I am a bit confused because a friend of mine told me $64.95 was only for the Cable Internet but on top of that, I needed to pay $31.95 for line rental and $39 for reduced connection fee or something.

So am I paying a total of $64.95 (Home Phone & Cable) or more?
