Tasmania is not part of Australia. (j/k) :stuck_out_tongue:

red earth, surfing, Kylie Minogue, UV-rays, Kangoroos, a lot of land nobody lives on, huge ants and snakes and Steve Irwin, Aborigines, continent placed on the other side of the world,…

You have summer there at the moment haven’t you?

Isn’t Nicole Kidman also from Australia?

EDIT: Nm - she was born in Hawaii

Sure do, but airconditioning helps me through. I’m riding to and from school as well, which added to the heat makes an unpleasant feeling.

I can’t believe you guys forgot about sheep! There are more sheep in Australia than people  that’s a fact.

I agree with David…

Australia lost it’s identity after world war 2, when we opened the flood gates to build the Snowy Mountain River Scheme.

Before then you could have described an Australian and what it meant to be one.

Now; well I used to live in Lakemba aka (Leb-kemba) and used to go out to Cabramatta with friends often. To describe an Australian now is impossible.

Australia is nothing more than a sheep…. We follow the US like a lost puppy, describe the US 5-10 years ago and you will be describing Australia now.

Well hopefully dorky little Howard, who went to the all boys school I was supposed to go to, will lose the next election. =P

Hey man, don’t diss Australia buddy,

I have been to many parts of the world, and Australia has got to be one of my favorite places. Sure its not perfect, especialy Sydney with cameras everyewhere, but its a **** good country!

Hey, I am a convict; you don’t have to sell me on Australia.

For some reason I like the US the most, guess their more patriotic and I am partial to military equipment.
But the US can keep their guns, crime, unemployment, lack of medical care.

Australia is probably the best country in the world.

I mean at least here our government pays for medical expenses, Drs, hospitals. They also pay for dentistry but the wait for that is years.

Point being, in the US you have people working 2-3 jobs just to scrap by, if they get sick their screwed cause they don’t have the medical system we do here. Even our prescription medicine is subsidized making it 1/3 of the cost.

I suppose if our stupid politicians wanted to, they could scrap our Medicare system, and use the billions they would save to beat the US to Mars….

Personally I would rather keep our medical system than waste money on a few lucky men who get to stand in dirt on another planet.

Speaking of mars, I will start another thread.
