I’m off to Barcelona for a few days next week, would appreciate some real life opinions on the city, where to go and drink, see, eat, shop etc? Rather than the tourist the typical tourist broucher.
I’m staying around the Sants Train Station if that helps…
Also is it shorts/beach weather there yet? My pastey white office tan is seriously uncool, I need to let my legs out :tb:
Never been to Spain before, so I’m looking forward to it. Thanks in advance!
My friend went there a couple of years ago; I remember he talked about the Picasso Museum and how cool that was but he said it was kind of a dirty city but that was about 5 years ago.
One of my housemates went a few years ago and got completely wasted. The morning after he woke up, had a shower and looked in the bathroom mirror and saw he had a tatoo in a really girly place (lower back I think).
Luckily it was one of those fake ones, henna or whatever they are called.
I have a feeling Real Madrid don’t actually play in Barcelona…
Barcelona aren’t playing when I’m there…they play the day after I leave :(, probably for the best anyway, my g/f wouldn’t be too impressed going to watch a football match, maybe if the Barcelona team looked better, but lets face it Ronaldiniho didn’t get dealt the best hand for looks, where as he did for football skill.
@Butters - Your house mates seem to get hella wasted I’ll watch out for dodgey tattoos in girl places
@secretinish - I’ll look out for the Picasso museumn…he’s one of my favs so I shld have known their was a galley there
only went there for a day, but watch out for the ‘mafia’ type who play the game on the street with the cups and ball. Do not play it, and do not show any money around them. Luckily I didn’t get roped in, but seen a kid in a wheel-chair have sooo much money taken from him by loosing. Good to watch how they do it, and how they disapper so fast!
Santiago Bernabéu is in Madrid, hence Real Madrid. Definitely visit Nou Camp if you can, 89,000 people watched the game against Benfica which is amazing.
I went a couple of years ago and went to the Nou Camp very impressive stadium, saw the Olympic village thingy too and that old cathedral that they have been trying to complete for like 20 years.
