I have an idea that’s not a battle in the strict sense, but might be kind of fun. Here’s the pitch:
I’m calling it “Talent night” (working title).
It’s an animation challenge. We start with a simple FLA of a theater stage (400 x 325). Download the FLA and have fun with it. Everyone does their own FLA unless anyone wants to do collaborations (maybe get the band together?). Each person gets 5 seconds to “perform” on the stage. That may sound short, but when you’re animating and possibly adding sound, it’s a lifetime.
I see it as an ongoing thing since it can take a while to produce each 5 second piece. Maybe once every month or two there can be a poll to see who the most popular acts are.
Anyway, just a thought. If anyone’s interested I’ve already made a stage. Here’s a jpeg of it. I can post the FLA if we have any takers.
