I’m composing for 800 x 600. I’d rather people not have to scroll like crazy to see everything. On average, what’s the most efficient setting (width and height) … using as much of the screen as possible, without scrolling being necessary?
yea 700X400 is a good suggestion, however you have try and see who your visitors are going to be. for example, i just did a site for a metal of honor clan, mostly everyone who plays games and stuff like that is usually looking at a higher resolution, so you can design bigger. but thats just my thaught, im sure some designers wil tell you otherwise.
I really am one for designing for everyone, but as digitalosophy stated, if you have the stats showing that there is a high majority of your viewers that use a higher res, then you CAN design for bigger (although I still wouldn’t recommend it, but it gives more reason to be able to)
I believe around 700x400 and 750x450 should be good for 800x600 monitors.
:tie: Hmm, now how do I force my Flash content to line flush with the top of the viewing area? … I have a pic at the top of my Flash movie, but when previewed in HTML, it lines up 1/4" from the top.
