Boolean Modeling in 3dsm5

i read the tute that kei gave in blah-de-blah’s thread, but was wondering one thing. if i wanted to say make a circle cut outin a square would i just have a cilender intersect and then subtract that? i dont have 3dsm right now so i cant try it but i am thinking thats the principle. any help or advice is appreciated.

yeah - but don’t overuse booleans - they screw up your shapes often and are never as precise as modeling.
