Doing Booleans in Swift 3D

Hello folks,

Am new here, and would like to say howdy ;)!

OK, now on to my prb. I have been doing 3D using Rhino and Max, and have just got access to Swift 3D v 3, plus I know Flash well.

I am planning to do an animation of a fighter aircraft, and had a q in this regard. Let’s say I want to do a wheel with a rim, which has gaps in it. How would you go about doing this in S3D?

AFAIK, in Rhino(or a 3D proggy), you would first lathe up the wheel, then the rims. Then, using shaped extrusions, do a Boolean to achieve the rim cutouts. I don’t see a way of doing this in S3D. Can anybody help?

Cheers,
BP.

boolean is not possible in v3…I would break the rim into segements the inner middle and outer. For the inner pattern I would start with a eps pattern created inlike illustrator or freehand then import it in and give it the necessary depth…Do the same with the middle and outer then reassemble in v3 and apply materials
