what was in question then? Do you agree with Michael Moores film?

I agree with Michael Moore’s intentions, and most of his statements. I was just cautioning Aislin on depending solely on his outlook as factual.
or any one individual’s statements for that matter.

I think his Oscar’s speech was dead on, and totally appropriate. He was the only one there with the galls to say anything against our “fictitious president”
And when Adrian Brody basically said the same thing but he kissed a lot of a*s when he did it, thats why they didn’t boo him…
Yeah but considering how inteligent a man he is it was not a very strong speech. I tink he could have made more impact, ‘shame on you mr. Bush’ got the point across but was a bit to simple
Did you guys see the after speech, the one in the media room? His speech was fantastic and very well done “considering how inteligent” he is.
I think what he did was great and especially by brining all the other film makers up with him - very classy.
I agree with Rev totally. What the movie was about was great, it was well done and very true. But you always have to be careful to get more than once source for your facts… statistics and facts can be made to support almost any argument.
The whole “Shame on your Mr. Bush” was also very well done. It had impact. It reduced the president to a child-like state and told us that his actions are deserving of reprimanding. He knew exactly what he was saying. He knew what he wanted to say and how he wanted to deliver his speech.
I feel that his speech portrayed exactly what he wanted it to.
also… a winner only has 45 seconds, and is required at least a little to pay homage to the people who helped him get to that point.
I didn’t see his speech myself, but I’d be disapointed if he didn’t take a moment to thank some people.
You have to appreciate someone who says things like that. It seems to me like everyone in Hollywood is kissing *** these days.

Fire up Kazaa and look for “oscars” or “michael moore” and you can find both his acceptence speach and media room speach. If you ahvent seen the latter - you wont be disapointed!
Lavaboy said this way back on the first page: I really don’t see a point in allowing civilians to have guns.
Here is a response:
“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government” - Thomas Jefferson
I recently read that Michael Moore’s next project will be a full-length feature detailing the business dealings of George Bush Sr. and Osama Bin Laden. Should be quite interesting to see how the media handles this one… Peace

I got the speech on Kazaa, but couldn’t find the media room thing. So here’s a link for all those who didnt find it, like myself.
Currently that link isn’t working, but check tomorrow. Cause it was earlier today. So it should some time soon.
its not about civilians having guns… thats not the issue whatsoever… Its the mentality, perspective, attitude and morality of AMERICAN civilians.
