I’v found a few bugs in mine, anyone else found them:
The volume can behave really wierdly, especially in warm rooms. Baiscally, I was on the train which was wayy too hot and stuffy and the volume on my iPod was jumpin up and down really quickly. I know that iPod trackwheels are heat sensitive or whatever but i’v not had such crazy volume movement on any other iPod…
Artwork - on some random songs, it won’t display my artwork properly. It will display the wrong artwork (usualy one from a Podcast instead of the intended iPod). Sometimes it will just have a wierd fuzzy image instead of the artwork.
Crashes - for the first time, iv had problems with my iPod crashing. It dosen’t happen often, just once or twice but it’s just stopped responding once or twice…wierd.
Anyone else got these problems? They arn’t too big of a deal, I can easliy live with them, just wondered if everyone else has got them too or is it just me?
I don’t have a new one just a 4G and the crashing problem is the same for me. I’ve had to reformat it more than 10 times in a little over a year. Because it just won’t recover correctly from the freeze.
I’ve also had the battery drain to half in 30 minutes when left in a cold car. Happened a couple times but ever since stayed charged fine.
As far as the battery running low in the cold, the manual says that cold temps will affect battery charge. I bring mine in at night so it doesn’t sit in a cold vehicle.
I’ve had the volume jump around on mine as well (30GB Video). Never really understood why though.
Another thing I’ve noticed is when it’s playing, I’ll pause it and then after it’s paused I’ll hold the Play/Pause button to shut it off. But sometimes it doesn’t shut off the first time or even second. Kind of annoying.
Side question: When I first got my iPod I was showing it to my uncle and he did something to it so that the only thing displayed was the album cover, no text info. He’s not sure what he did. We somehow got it back to normal with the art and the info but I was wondering how do you display just the art?
Side question 2: I know how to randomly play all the songs, but how do I randomly play all songs by a certain band only?
Yeah mine does that too! I have a sleep option in my main menu and il click it and nothing will happen. Sometimes I will keep clicking and the damn thing won’t go to sleep…
If you click the center wheel whilst listening to a song, it will change to the track scanner thing (where you can easily scan though the track with the scroll wheel). If you click it again, it will slide off and will display album artwork full screen
Just go Music > Artists > Select the artist > All. Start to play a song and make sure it’s on random…
