lucky you did , cant let talent go to waste!
wow !! thanx
if you spend days and days without sleeping … fooling around with flash it’s a matter of time

Cheers!!
It’s simple enough for me to make another!
Too right, can’t let your talent go waste!
glad you like it
just note one thing … it happened to me
do not forget to stop() the mc in the first frame or it will keep looping until you call the function. other than that … i think it’s pretty self explanatory =)
oh-huh :-\
When I am using more than one button, first one works as usual but 2nd and so on, will not work even though they are all from same movie and under same instance name.
Look like I am back to drawing board
nope … looks like i’m going back to the work … :-\
that’s funny … i never tested it with more than one mc

lol, I don’t blame you for that.
It is harder than I thought it would be.
just give me some time … i’ll get it. that’s for sure :bad:
fast easy and not recommended fix
but what the hell … if you don’t want to wait any longer i guess you could do it this way
i’ll try with getTimer() and prototypes instead of setInterval() and functions … maybe i can get a better result with it :-\
After few plays, I have just decided that my good old simple rollover/rollout codes which I have made earlier, looked fine by me. I am happy with the results because when I move mouse fast across 3 or 4 buttons, it looked nice!
By the way, if the user doesn’t have flash player in his computer, will it let user know automatically that he/she need to download flash player?
Here’s my menu:
there’s an option in the html tab in the publish settings …
it’s a javascript function to detect the flash player … i’ve never used it or even seen the code. but if i remember it opens macromedia’s page to download the plugin in a new window.
you might want to try it
going back to the buttons … i think it should be better that way.
honestly it’s too much coding for just a roll over/out effect.
but it might be useful in some future projects =)
however i’ll try to fix it and i’ll let you know later
I got it sorted…I have Dreamweaver and when I inserted flash into page, I checked the code view and it has put in codes automatically so I don’t need to worry!
Thanks for all your helps, cheers
anytime barnettgs =)
