Buttons

This may seem like a simple question, but I need it answered.

Typically, when I create a button in Flash, the only part that is active as a button is, say with a piece of text, the individual letters of the text and not a zone around it like with typical links or buttons. I’ve been drawing a box with no boreder and 1% alpha around the text and making it a button, but it seems as though there should be an easier way. Is there?

yeah… double click over your button to edit it.

you’ll see four frames: up, over, down and hit.
draw the box under the hit frame. :wink:

yah… and no need to do alpha or anything like that. The box wont show.
