So, the Campaign-mobile finally tanked on me. Engine’s locked up :|, and I’m **** outta luck as far as getting to work goes. I need to find a new car, fast, lest I spend about 5-6 hours on mass transit (or what passes for it) for as long as I have this job.
I’m looking for something used and Japanese, like a Honda or a Toyota, maybe a Scion.:chinaman:
I’m not trying to spend more than $6-$7k, and have $1k to put down. What I’m asking is, what are some tips when it comes to the actual buying process? My involvement in the political arena has indeed led to a keen understanding of the finer points of the art of bull$#!+, so I have a decent idea of what kind of shuck and jive dealers are going to give me. I know when I’m being tested or felt out, but tell me, what sort of horror stories about buying cars do the rest of you have?
