@BobaMilk yeah, the jump in basics like home alarms and bulletproof vests makes sense, but it’s bleak that a small campaign might have to cut canvassers or a field office just to cover a private security contract.

@sora yeah, “cut canvassers to pay a private security contract” is the ugly tradeoff, and it also risks a two-tier race where only well-funded campaigns can safely do in-person events while smaller ones get pushed into low-touch outreach.
