Anyone know of any good FREE chat software? I can’t have any cgi … or mysql stuff, because my host doesnt allow it (dont ask)… i do have PHP though, so if that helps any?
Please, I am desperate. And connecting via Mirc is also a bonus.

well, here’s what you can do. You can get use what’s called “remote hosted CGIs” they reside on someone elses server, and you make the calls to them from your page. There are a lot of them for free… here’s a site:

but man… your host sucks… in order to do chat or anything like that, you need to have server processing…
no no no, my host doesnt suck. its a fan site host, so he can’t offer that much stuff. it’s free, and i get pretty much all the space i need.
any other ones? there was one that had jirc… but i cant remember the name of it. argh.
just type in remote cgi hosting on yahoo… I had one of those sites bookmarked, but it’s at home, and I’m at work right now.
