I banned a member named <B>chinabean</B> today. He signed up and created a footer that auto getURLed to an his Outwar hit page, and then he posted in threads saying “yeah this is nice” just so people would go see it.
Not only that, but the Outwar window opened in _self so aside from exploiting every member of the forum he made the threads impossible to view since the window was immediately replaced with his Outwar crap.
His IP: 12.230.104.247

I could have, but he was only exploiting the members of the forum for his outwar crap. He replied with the same thing in the 2 threads, so he was obviously just looking to get noticed.
Besides, I just checked his footer again, its the same movie it was before and I am watching in the Whos Online section and he’s rooting for a popular thread to post in.
This time if you want I will just remove his footer and tell him his IP will be banned if he doesn’t quit it.

Anyone else think I was being hotheaded? I don’t mind if you say yes, I do sometimes get like that, and this outwar crap is seriously starting to get on my nerves!

Outwar is a game where when you sign up you get a designated link, and if you get people to visit that link it adds a “Recruit” to your army or something like that. And the people with the most recruits win a prize.
Its more like… the page with the most hits wins. So a lot of people exploit members on forums (been done multiple times) by making them click links, or doing site checks where their sites have auto pop-ups of their outwar page.
Yeah, I say we ban everyone who uses outwar! That will solve our UncleGuito problem hehe.
Lost has almost banned as many people as I have banned, we should make a sticky thread noting all of the members each moderator has banned, it would be interesting, don’t you think?

She left. I talked to her on AIM a week or 2 ago and she told me she might not be coming back. She said it just feels right end her time now on a good note, she said it feels like a phase she may have outgrew. She also said she has a lot going on in her life too.
