Those of you who are in college: do you hate it when they make you take classes that are really irrelevant to your major? Like for instance, I’m a CS major, and I have to take biology and other classes like Dance, what the heck?
[rant]i want to take electrical engineering class, but i couldn’t see in the list on the website, so i call my university today, and then i found out they’ve changed from ECG to EE. okay… then i try to register for that class, so i first register for the lab (we now have to register for the lab first, otherwise it says co-requisite not met, whatever…). so when i try to register for the lab it says, pre-requisite not met, and i check and it says MATH 182 (calc ii). i’m like, what the heck? i took that last semester… so i call them again, they say, “oh, you have to go to the dept. then get the waiver form and …” other crap. right now, i’m like why the heck should i fill out a ■■■■ form? it’s your problem, because some moron made a database, and didn’t know how to code it properly… uhh, some stuff makes me so mad [/rant]
so anyways, it feels like colleges, probably everywhere, are trying to more like discourage students by making them take stupid classes… i mean, why the heck should i take other classes? i’d be more happy if i just have to take important classes like CS and engineering classes…
