Hi Everyone… I’ve run into a strange problem that I’ve never experienced before.
My Flash movie contains a couple components (combo box, etc.) …and I have their linkage set to NOT export on first frame, and have also specified in my Publish Settings to export on 2nd frame of my movie (first frame is my preloader).
When I ‘Simulate Download’ preview my movie, the Bandwidth Profiler shows that the bulk of the content is in fact being loaded on the 2nd frame as it should be… but when my movie gets to the frame that has the components on it, everything shows up but my components…for about 3 seconds, and then they suddenly appear. This makes me think that they are not actually being preloaded… its just weird because I have used preloaders/components together before and never run into this problem. (and this is simulated download of DSL)
Not sure if it makes a difference, but the movieClip that has the laggy components are on F5… so I tried setting in the Publish Settings for classes to be exported on F5 to see if that would help, and no luck… I also tried putting the components on F2, but off stage, just to see if that would help…and no luck there either.
Any suggestions?
